What an incredible two days! More than 500 women and men gathered March 19 & 20 in Myrtle Beach for the 2nd annual Women’s Leadership Conference. Remarkable keynote and breakout session speakers, terrific exhibitors and the shared energy of women of all ages, backgrounds, occupations and professional levels who connected at this powerful event created a meaningful and memorable experience for Conference participants.

The expanded 2012 program presented expert speakers who encouraged women to speak up, take action, and use their voices to become more effective in the workplace, in the political arena, in managing their health and more. Visit the Speakers page for a list of our outstanding line-up of speakers.

At the conclusion of the Conference, WIPL hosted its annual Celebration of Inspiring Women which honored individuals for their outstanding contributions to our state, region, nation and world. This year's honorees include Dr. Jeanner Fourrier, Pat Harris, Darley Newman, Anne Worsham Richardson, Brig. Gen. (R) Velma Richardson and Chairman Inez Tenenbaum. The Women’s Leadership Conference and Celebration of Inspiring Women are programs of Women in Philanthropy and Leadership for Coastal Carolina University.  Proceeds from the Conference and Celebration support WIPLScholarships for Coastal Carolina University students and other leadership initiatives.
